Ruthin Castle Hotel

The hotel hosts regular Mediaeval Banquets. Today the ancient dungeon still survives together with the whipping pit and drowning pool. Fully costumed Ladies of the Court and the Court Steward lead guests into the Banquet Hall where they entertain, sing, jest and lead the evening’s feasting accompanied by mead from clay cups and wine from pewter goblets. Guests can also wear mediaeval costume if they wish.

Mill Hotel & Spa

Situated on an historic Roman site the Mill Hotel & Spa was opened by its present owners in 1987, the original Griffiths Cornmill building dates from 1830 and great care has been taken to sympathetically incorporate many of the original architectural features during the conversion into a hotel.

The Mill Hotel & Spa has been extended in recent years with the impressive south wing, linked to the original via a glass walled bridge over the Shropshire Union Canal.

Kings Guest House

The Kings is a family run, friendly guest house in a prime position, just a short walk from the city centre via a most attractive route, over the river by the way of the Old Dee bridge and under the Roman Bridgegate Arch which forms part of the ancient Roman city walls.

The Kings has recently been refurbished and now offers a range of rooms, including a function room.
